Complete refurbishment of a Korean BBQ restaurant requires precise technical planning. On this project, Busan BBQ Korean, located in Barcelona, faced the challenge of completely renewing its venue to host a dining concept where customer experience, safety and ambient comfort are key.

At Cubic General Contractor we delivered the complete fit-out of the space, turning a 350 m² venue into a restaurant ready for intensive use, with particular attention to installations, ventilation and the technical integration of Korean BBQ systems.

The project challenge – complete restaurant refurbishment

Korean BBQ restaurants present very specific requirements that go beyond a conventional refurbishment:

  • High density of table-side extraction points

  • Efficient management of smoke, smells and heat

  • Integration of exposed installations without losing aesthetic coherence

  • Strict compliance with hospitality regulations

The goal was clear: create a functional, safe and durable space able to support the restaurant’s daily operations without compromising the diner experience.

Technical solution applied

The intervention was developed by tackling the venue from a holistic perspective, coordinating every discipline needed to ensure the restaurant’s correct operation:

  • Complete fit-out of the interior space

  • Installation of ventilation and smoke extraction systems adapted to table-side grills

  • Optimisation of HVAC to balance thermal comfort and energy performance

  • Complete renewal of installations for intensive use in hospitality

  • Careful execution of technical finishes compatible with the venue’s aesthetic

The whole process was delivered within a 12-week timeline, maintaining control of time, cost and quality at every phase.
