A new dining space with its own identity – vegan restaurant refurbishment

At Cubic General Contractor and Cubic Estudi d’Enginyeria, we have completed the refurbishment of the vegan restaurant Desoriente, located on Calle Valencia in Barcelona, a 290 m² project in which the main objective has been to create a space consistent with the venue’s philosophy: conscious cuisine, sustainability and a carefully crafted dining experience from the very first moment.

The works have completely transformed the venue, giving it a functional layout, durable materials and an atmosphere aligned with the restaurant’s vegan concept.

A project designed around the customer experience and daily operations

In a restaurant, every construction decision directly impacts the user experience and the business operation. For that reason, the refurbishment of Desoriente was approached from a dual perspective:

• Customer experience, creating a warm, comfortable and recognisable atmosphere.

• Operational efficiency, optimising routes, work areas and service spaces.

The new layout enables a smooth flow between kitchen and dining area, improves capacity and supports the daily work of the restaurant team.

Construction and technical solutions applied

The works included demolitions, layout redistribution, renewal of installations and execution of finishes aligned with the design. Particular attention was paid to:

• Selection of sustainable and durable materials.

• Installation of efficient, low-impact HVAC and lighting systems.

• Hygienic and functional finishes for the kitchen and service areas.
